Once a user obtains a price information, it is important to provide them with the redirect so that they can find more options or book their ticket. There are different places where the user could land. Below we describe possible redirect types you could use and the ways to obtain them.
Redirect to the Skyscanner website
These are URLs that link to the Skyscanner website with the details of the search query pre-populated. This provides a more straightforward option for partners who do not require a full implementation of a travel search product within their applications. Prices can be shown with a link to take the user to the Skyscanner website to find their itinerary.
The Referral Service can also be used to provide links to direct the user to Skyscanner website.
Deeplink to the partner's website
For partners who require full implementation, external deeplinks will be provided in the response from the Live Pricing Services. They will link the user straight through to the partner's website to make the booking.
The URL provided will be an unbranded version of Skyscanner’s deeplinking service. The deeplinking service will redirect the user through to the third-party website, with all the details of the itinerary that was selected. We provide a way to customise this page by replacing the default logo with the logo of your website. Please send us a logo in size 122x65px in PNG format and we will set this up for you.
Skyscanner has no control over how the third-party website consumes the link. In some cases the selected itinerary will be ready to book. In other cases the search criteria will be pre-populated, but the end-user will have to search through the results on the third-party website to find their itinerary.
